CELEBRATING OUR 35TH ANNIVERSARY
November 3rd, 2024 we invited parishioners to come over for an "Open House" as we shared what this council has been up to for the past 35 years.
​
Display boards, photo albums, book of life (remembering our sisters who have passed) were on display as was a powerpoint presentation which ran continually for all to see.
​
Our ladies sat with parishioners and shared who we are, what we do and why. It was a joyful celebration which took place after the 8am, 10am and Noon Mass.
​
At the Noon Mass we gathered together in the celebration of the Mass joined by members of the Vancouver Diocesan Executive and other parish councils.
​
During the reception following the Noon Mass, we gave special mention to our Charter Members who were in attendance (and those who had come earlier) as well as Past Presidents. Of course there was cake and Charter Member and First Secretary Helen Andow was asked to make the ceremonial cut.
​
The room was filled with joy which was reiterated by both Past Diocesan President Sherray Duran and current Vice President Galdys Jung.
​
We thank the parishioners and our fellow sisters in the League who took part in celebrating with us and look forward to another 35 active years!
​
Of course this day would be nothing without the members of our council who prepared, took part in and have made this council what it is!
