MEMBER OF THE YEAR
In 2024 a new award was setup as a way to recognize the exceptional work of members - Member of the Year.
The Member of the Year is an award given by the current Executive to a member in good standing who has shown extraordinary participation & leadership during the calendar year.
Once again the Executive found themselves down to two candidates who have taken on many roles in 2025, both leadership and in service. These ladies brought ideas, service and leadership to the table, working many hours behind the scenes as well as "in front" of the scenes!

The Executive members nominate a member who reflects the criteria setup. 2024 we had two members who met the criteria and as we could not choose one over the other therefore it was awarded to both:

MAPLE LEAF RECIPIENTS
The Maple Leaf Pin is the highest honour a council can bestow upon one of its members. This award is not given out lightly nor is it given out often - it represents the exceptional & outstanding work ladies have done over and above any role on the executive they had held, in the promotion of the League and the council, initiatives taken, leadership qualities, encouragement & empowering members.
